One of our most sustainable shoes yet!

Handmade in Italy, with recycled fabrics and reused suede offcut remnants, we saved from being thrown out by another shoe manufacturer.

This colour was inspired by founder Amira Nimerawi’s village in Palestine in the Khalil/Hebron district- Kharas. A tiny village, home to mostly family, surrounded by hills of silvery green olive trees and maramiyeh (wild sage). If Amira had to define her village by scent and colour it would be the earthy green tones and comforting scent of maramiyeh.

Some of the olive trees have been on her family’s land for centuries, and so too has her family’s role in the community, of producing the beautiful dark green olive oil, so integral to Palestinian culture, cuisine and identity.

As this suede is reused material and limited, there will only be a few pairs available and each shoe will be made custom to order, to promote a slow fashion model, with sustainability in mind.
