The colours were inspired by the fields of red poppies found in Spring, in Palestine. The name for this shoe was inspired by a protected valley, called Wadi Al-Quff. I chose this name to highlight this very special part of Palestine which is currently protected as it’s considered by WWF one of the global 200 priority biomes. An area of great significance for GLOBAL plant biodiversity. There are around 250 plant species found in WAQ. The Wadi (valley) is tucked within the Khalil district and is close to founder Amira’s home village.

These mules are ethically made by hand in Italy, with locally sourced materials. We support family-run businesses in the same region as our factory. As this fabric is rare and limited, there will only be a few pairs available and each shoe will be made custom to order, to promote a slow fashion model, with sustainability in mind.
