Handmade in Italy, with recycled fabrics and hand-embroidered, Palestinian Tatreez fabric.

The embroidered (Tatreez) was hand-stitched by a Palestinian women’s refugee collective in Egypt.

It has taken 2 years to bring this shoe to life, from sourcing the right fabric to the hand sewing, to the manufacturing of this show during lockdown.

The colours were inspired by founder Amira Nimerawi’s home town in Palestine- Khalil/Hebron. The second-largest city in Palestine and known for being a hub for art and culture. The vibrancy of the city centre and market, as well as the famous colours of Khalil pottery and glass, inspired this design.

As this fabric is rare and limited, there will only be a few pairs available and each shoe will be made custom to order, to promote a slow fashion model, with sustainability in mind.
